Cold-Rolled Oriented Silicon Steel

Cold-rolled oriented silicon steel, also known as cold-rolled transformer steel, is an important ferrosilicon alloy used in transformer (iron core) manufacturing industry. Its production process is complex and its manufacturing technology is strict. It is mainly divided into common oriented silicon steel (CGO) and high magnetic induction oriented silicon steel (Hib) .

Oriented Electrical Steel: ore-iron-steel-hot rolled-pickled-cold rolled-annealed-cold rolled silicon steel (oriented electrical steel) .

Cold-rolled oriented silicon steel is mainly used to make transformer core.Cold-rolled oriented silicon steel strip is made of 0.30 or 0.35 mm oriented silicon steel strip, which is pickled, cold-rolled and annealed. The cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel sheet is the billet or continuous casting billet hot-rolled into a thickness of about 0.23 mm strip. The cold-rolled silicon steel strip has the characteristics of smooth surface, uniform thickness, high stacking coefficient and good punching property, and has higher magnetic induction and lower iron loss than the hot-rolled silicon steel strip. Using cold strip instead of hot strip to make motor or transformer, its weight and volume can be reduced by 0% -25% . If the cold-rolled oriented strip is used instead of the hot-rolled strip or the low-grade cold-rolled strip, the power consumption of the transformer can be reduced by 45% -50% , and the performance of the transformer is more reliable.
